Changes

As humans nobody is perfect, some people are nicer or prettier or just plain "better". Everyone still has their personality flaws. I have always been very aware of my flaws. Whethere they are true or not. How can I fix all of these flaws? I want to lose weight, and I want to learn to save my money, and I want to dress nicer, and have nicer skin, and be a nicer person, not gossip, go back to school, get a better job. Where do you even begin? It becomes overwhelming. This is who I have been my whole life, all I can do is apoligize for what I've done wrong, and try to do better next time. How do you change "major" characteristics of your personality?

My New Years Resolution

My resolution or better yet my goal for this year, is to get out of debt. Last year it was hard to get out of debt when every penny had to go torwards the wedding. There wasn't a whole lot left over. Even when we were "saving" for the wedding we were still pretty bad about being frugal. It is hard for me to just sit in the house all day every weekend. It doesn't give much to look forward to. So we still went out and spent money and had fun. So far this year the past couple weekends I think we have done better to stay in. It's hard because I get restless but it's also so cold outside I don't really want to leave the house. So instead of ordering pizza's (a staple of ours) and watching movies we just stocked up on $3 pizza's at kroger. Saves us atleast $20. Also I have been being better at staying home and cooking and packing my lunches for work. I've added up the money we have previously spent on eating out and it is staggering! I think it is nice to do maybe once or twice a week, but it is definantely not condusive to saving. Also I have been trying to learn to talk myself out of certain purchases. When I think I have nothing to buy I always seem to come up with something I need.  There will always be something that we "need" nobody has everything. I guess I just need to prioritize. I am organizing all of our bills and have figured out our balances on all of the credit cards so we can stop paying thouse off. If we got all of those paid off that would save us a few hundred a month on monthly bills.
Tony's resolution this year is to buy a house. Who knows when this will happen or if it will happen, but I think our goals pretty much go hand in hand. There is a bit of debt to get out of but not as much as some have aquired. We are still young, and hopefully we will learn from our revolving credit mistakes. Hoping to be first time home buyers soon!

Enjoying a long weekend

We had a great long new years weekend. I was afraid I would be at work all night long on new years eve, but we actually got out at a decent time. So we got to go out and celebrate a little. We went downtown to a little irish bar in the arena district and met up with Liz, Dave, Ashley & Jesse. It was nice to get to hang out. We didn't stay out too late, we werer probably home around 1 or a little after. The next morning tony ran to the store and stocked up on snack for new years day. We had a lazy sit on the couch kind of day. We made pigs in a blanket together, and then hung out and ate breakfast and played with our new christmas presents (still). Around 4'o clock the OSU Rosebowl game came on and we made frozen pizza and watched the game. and then watched some movies. So basically all day was spent on the couch. Just a nice relaxing day!

Saturday we went out to my dads house, and hung out ate snacks and played catch phrase for a couple of hours. It started to get heated after a few rounds so we gave up eventually.  Then just visited for a little bit longer and then headed home. I was exhauseted for some reason and was in bed by 10.

We woke up sunday and had a bunch of plans to run around. Went to target (love it) and walked around for a while. Exchanged a sweater at old navy. And then had lunch at El Vaquero ( my fave). After lunch we decided to go to a movie and saw Avatar. I was a little skeptical, didn't think it would be my kind of movie and it was suppose to be 3 freaking hours! I ended up loving it though, I would even go see it again! All the hype was definantely right. it was in 3D, so we had to wear the 3D glasses the whole movie.  This has all gotten kind of rambling ... but it was a great weekend! I was so sad to see it over. That is all for now
PEACE OUT!!

These boots were made for walking.

I am seriously loving these boots. I saw a couple girls at work with them and loved them on. Yes I am guilty of being a follower in this instance. Oh well, they're cute and they're only $45 from Alloy! SERIOUSLY!

They also come in a chestnut brown and in leather whereas these are suede.
That is all, I had to get that off of my chest! :)

How time flies

I still remember celebrating the new yea of 2000. Prince's party like it's 1999! I was only 13, it's hard to believe how fast a whole 10 years can go. Obviously from 13 to 23 so much changes, too much to even recollect. The past year though was one of the most important of my life so far. I got to see one of my best friends get married to an awesome guy, and my dad remarried to a woman that I love. She treats us like we are her own! Of course I got married also. It was a stressfull year with all of the planning and it was a struggle just to make it to October. Honestly I wouldn't want to go back and do it again. hah. But that one day of 2009 was so worth it. The last 2 months of year after the wedding were hectic. Filled with holidays and family and catching up. As excited for the holidays as I was, I am happy that it's behind me and ready to begin the new year. There is so much I want to do this year that we weren't able to do last year because of trying to save money. So no better time then the new year to begin my list of "want to-do's" for 2010.

- Go tubing at mad river mountain
- play in the snow
- stay the weekend in a cabin
- go hiking
-go to a farmers market
- have people over for dinner
- visit ikea
- go canoeing
- go camping
- have a picnic
- take the dogs for more walks
- go to the zoo
- take a vacation
- go see more movies
- buy a house
- have a cookout
I am most looking most forward to summer, the long days and so much more to do! But that is all for now, I may come up with more stuff! We'll see, I have a whole year to figure it out! Hoping 2010 is a year of adventure and new experiences!

First Kiss of 2010!
